The term upgrade not only readily refers to car stereo because almost anything in the whole world is upgradeable. But since we are talking about car stereos, at least you know the drill.

Upgrades in a car stereo might just take in you in for a shock, because based on facts; enthusiasts are willing to spend tons of money just to have them improved. Are they really that important? This may only be few of the many questions you have in mind, that’s why you’re here.

The distribution block is a small but equally important device that splits or divides the power source to be distributed to amplifiers. Although, this is not required, most of car audio professionals recommend using them if you decide to attach multiple amplifiers to your stereo.

There are several types of power distribution blocks but 2 are commonly used. One is utilized to provide power source to amplifiers, whereas the other one offers a built-in fuse that also distributes power to all the amplifiers. The latter one called fused power distribution block is preferred because in terms of preparation and hooking up, it’s much simpler. Although it is a bit more expensive but you don’t have to spend on purchasing another fuse container for its already built-in. So, in a mere sense, it’s much more economical. There are a lot of kind of distribution blocks but not all are widely used to name a few are automotive power distribution block and marathon distribution blocks.

A distribution block may just be a small contraption but what it brings to your car stereos is bigger and grander music. If you pretty much live for this type of obsession, then the distribution block may just be the greatest invention man has ever built.
