Bazooka

You may not have heard of Bazooka, but its pure fact that they are among the hardest thumping bass in proportion to their size and price. Since 1984, Bazooka had been slowly heralding the new way to manufacture and set up subwoofers, in their patented Bass Tubes.

Cool, unique and quite refreshing, the 6.5 inch of Bazooka subwoofer means you can install it practically anywhere. It already has its own “built into” enclosure so that takes off one of the most problematical aspect in car audio installation. You want to have 6 car thumping bass speakers? Get 6 of those Bazooka subwoofers installed and you’ll find out how much room you still have for other mundane (but life essential) activities like shopping space, golf club bag space, laundry, tools, etc…

By the way, if you want the kind of bass that shatters windows two blocks away, or else the short that’s so low that it’ll change heartbeat, then find another bass equipment, funkmaster. The Bazooka is intended to blow you away, but not that far, or not that low. If you aren’t these types, then well read on.

Bazooka BT6014

6-1/2" Subwoofer Bass Tube

It’s too bad that Bazooka don’t have an extensive line of designs that offer variants of the design. But still, the good thing of having only a few (only 2 exactly) design is that consumers won’t be overburden with myriads of subwoofer designs that practically do the same and offer the same.

Let’s talk details. This Bazooka Bass Tube features a professional ported subwoofer enclosure designed for space efficient mounting. It can be practically mounted on any corner, any crevice as long as the 6.5 inches of mass can be mounted effectively. In the corner mounting in your trunk, beside the hatch, or behind the seat or underneath the seat, its only with the Bazooka subwoofer that you actually have to be creative because the 6.5 inches offer several possibilities. Of course, there’s no hassle to DiY this piece since Bazooka subwoofer installation kits are included: mounting straps and hardware included and instruction manual. It has a 5 way binding post wire terminals that accepts a braod range of materials: spade lugs, pin connectors, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs, even bare wires. It has 4 ohm impedance. The frequency response is at 39 to 1.5 kHz. You‘ll be surprised at the power handling, only at 6 to 100 watts RMS. Sensitivity is at 100 dB.

The entire body consists of a water resistant poly enclosure that houses the 6.5” of poly woofer dampened with surrounding foam. If you know your acoustic basics, this can function very well like any bandpass quite effectively. This patented enclosure design of the Bazooka Bass Tube eliminates the bass standing waves, like any bandpass for a surprising sound fidelity.

The price is somewhere $90, pretty cheap for the unique features and awesome efficiency it offers. My suggestion, if you want a heavy duty bass system, something that isn’t overly wild and so loud, something that has sound definition, by this bass tube baby. Wait – hook this to some amplifier that has a low-pass filter capability. Mount it somewhere obscure, and surprise your friends of the sheer quality it transform you vehicle, all this without evident hardware you installed.

I wholly agree to the stories I first heard about Bazooka, that they are ultimately space efficient, they offer nice clear sound, they have the ability to stay out of sight, they don’t burden the batteries (like most subwoofer models), and they cost right. Bazooka had really redefined, with its bass tubes, how subwoofers that are hassle-free at the same time hard-driving bass ought to be.
